As a content creator or Instagram influencer, it can be hard to find Chicago photoshoot locations but look no further…. I’m sharing my 5 favorite locations for Instagram and blog content.
Downtown Chicago is a beautiful place, but if you’re looking for the urban feel of the city, this is a great option. Find your favorite spot under the train tracks and snap away. If your photographer is good and your timing is right, you can even catch the train going by as you pose for the perfect shot.
Chicago’s Fulton Market area is a new, thriving part of the city that Chicago locals have come to know and love. It’s one of my favorite areas in the city because of the shops, restaurants, and positive vibes.
Finding a restaurant or shop with a background you love could be all it takes to get the perfect shot. To find my favorite spot in the area, I did a little scouting first and then found a place outside of a restaurant that I knew would be a great place to grab some photos. Here’s how the shot came out:
Inside of Chicago’s Art Institute, there’s a really great outdoor garden where you can grab great photos with greenery. The lighting in the area is great on a sunny day, but be ware if you wear heels… your pumps may sink into the gravel in the ground.
It was a bit of a calf workout for me to tiptoe around on the balls of my feet for the perfect shot, but I’d say it was worth it. Here’s how the shot came out:
Millennium Park is a tourist favorite, but it also doubles as a really great place for photos outside. There’s a really great outdoor garden in the park that’s right next to the entrance of the Art Institute. I love this location because you can get outdoor vibes while catching a glimpse of the city.
I’m a Chicago native who grew up on the South Side of Chicago and in the South Suburbs. BUT I grew to love West Loop neighborhood as an adult. If I’m going out in the city, 9 times out of 10, you can find me in the West Loop.
The West Loop doubles as a great place to dine, hang out, and shop… but also a great location for photoshoots. There are so many different shops, restaurants, alleyways, sides of buildings and so much more that you can take advantage of to capture the right shot.
One of my favorite shots was taken on the side of a commercial building, and here’s how it turned out:
Photos are so important for growing your Instagram presence and blog as a personal brand. Finding the perfect photoshoot location has a lot of factors from considering your outfit, your desired aesthetic for your Instagram profile or blog, or finding the right lighting for the shot.
When you take good photos for your blog and Instagram content, you’ll find that growing your presence online happens quicker than if you didn’t give your photos the attention they deserve.
I hope you love these photoshoot locations as much as I do. Happy modeling!
